Rick Ramos, MD, is a board-certified anesthesiologist and interventional pain management specialist at Synchrony Medical Group. He provides high-quality pain management to adults in Gainesville, Florida, and throughout Alachua County.
Dr. Ramos studied at the University of Central Florida in Orlando, earning his undergraduate degree in molecular biology and microbiology. After graduation, he enrolled at The Ohio State University College of Medicine in Columbus and obtained his medical degree.
Before entering private practice, Dr. Ramos completed an internal medicine internship at the University of Florida Health Shands Hospital in Gainesville, an anesthesiology residency at the University of Miami’s Jackson Memorial Hospital in Florida, and a pain management fellowship at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.
Dr. Ramos speaks English and Spanish fluently. He’s a member of several professional organizations, including the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, the American Society of Regional Anesthesia, and the American Society of Pain and Neuroscience.
Outside the office, Dr. Ramos is active in the community. He regularly participates in medical missions to Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic. Dr. Ramos also participates in continuing education. He attends industry conferences and events throughout the year to enhance his professional knowledge and expertise.
